Balagopal Chandrasekhar
Founder
C. Balagopal, a visionary leader and former IAS officer, left the civil service in 1983 to establish Peninsula Polymers (Penpol), a pioneering enterprise that revolutionized biomedical device manufacturing in India. Under his leadership, Penpol became one of the world’s leading manufacturers of blood bag systems, exporting to over 50 countries.
Beyond entrepreneurship, Balagopal founded the ANAHA Trust to promote social entrepreneurship and serves as a Director at TIMed, a premier medical devices incubator. He has also been an independent director on the Board of Federal Bank Ltd and later its Chairman. Currently, as the Chairman of the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC), he plays a key role in driving industrial growth and economic development in Kerala.
V K Mathews
Founder
V.K. Mathews is the Founder and Executive Chairman of IBS Software, a global leader in travel technology. Founded in 1997, IBS has transformed the travel and aviation industries with its innovative enterprise SaaS solutions. Today, the company serves over 200 clients, including top airlines, hotel chains, cruise lines, and energy companies, operating in 35 countries with a diverse team of 5,000 professionals from 42 nationalities.
Mathews, a visionary in aviation and travel, is a renowned speaker and leader, having served on the Executive Council of NASSCOM and as Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (Kerala). Currently, he chairs Kerala’s Group of Technology Companies (GTech).
An aeronautical engineer from IIT Kanpur with executive training from Harvard Business School, Mathews has earned numerous accolades, including the Kerala Shree Award (2024), V.C. Padmanabhan Memorial Award (2015), and Management Leadership Award (2013).
Thomas John Muthoot
Founder
Thomas John Muthoot is the Chairman of the Muthoot Pappachan Group (MPG), a 134-year-old conglomerate with diverse interests in retail financial services, hospitality, real estate, automotive, and more. Over the past 30 years, he has driven MPG’s growth, particularly making Muthoot FinCorp Ltd. (MFL) one of India’s largest NBFCs, with a network of over 3,600 branches.
An alumnus of Harvard Business School, he blends innovation with strong values, emphasising customer-centricity and embracing new technologies to enhance business efficiency. Mr. John is passionate about financial inclusion, focusing on uplifting underserved communities.
Under his leadership, MPG has become a powerhouse of over 30,000 employees. He is an active thought leader in business platforms like CII and has received several awards, including Businessman of the Year (2009).
